The regular season of NFL Picks has concluded and now it's time to turn our attention to this weeks NFL Wildcard Playoff Picks. Looking at this years participants there are certainly some surprises because I can't think of many "experts" who listed Minnesota, Atlanta or Arizona as making it to the playoffs at the beginning of the year. It has been a number of years since these teams have made the Playoff Picks which in itself could present a challenge for those handicappers who solely rely on specific teams trends and angles. However, one angle that doesn't necessarily apply to these specific teams is the fact that underdogs in the Wildcard Playoff Picks are 9-2 ATS the L11 times. So, the question becomes how applicable is this fact or is there more to look at? Well, let's take a look:

Atlanta at Arizona

Atlanta is 1-6 in the postseason off a SU win and road favorits are 2-9 in playoff picks openers while NFC postseason home underdogs (Atlanta) are 8-1 the L9. Potential Edge: Arizona

Indianapolis at San Diego

Indianapolis is 6-2 in the postseason off back to back SU wins and 4-1 their L5 postseason contests while San Diego is 1-4 in the postseason versus and opponent off of back to back SUATS wins. Potential Edge: Indianapolis

Baltimore at Miami

Postseason non divisional road favorites (Baltimore) are 1-5 versus an opponent with revenge while the AFC East (Miami) in the postseason is 8-2 at home versus an opponent off a SUATS win. Potential Edge: Miami

Philadelphia at Minnesota

Teams who are off a greater than 20 point win (Philadelphia) are 2-7 away in the postseason while Minnesota is 6-2 in the postseason versus an opponent who is off a SUATS win including 4-0 at home. Potential Edge: Minnesota
